A Founding Retreat at Free Holler Farm
Three nights. An intimate gathering. Space to finally exhale.
breathe. unplug. return.
the holler, alive
Some of the deepest restoration at Free Holler happens without a schedule. You follow a path, notice a swallowtail in the wildflowers, and forget to check the time. That is the whole point of being here.
You carry a lot. Work. Family. Responsibilities. Screens. Schedules. The constant pull of being needed somewhere by someone.
Unplug & Return is three nights to step away and make room for something different. Slow mornings. Fresh mountain air. Beautiful meals around a shared table. Time in nature. Restorative experiences. Fireside evenings. Journaling, reflection and honest conversation with women ready for something deeper than small talk.
There is room here to laugh, rest, wander, breathe, be quiet, open up and simply be. You don't need to become someone new. Maybe you just need enough quiet to hear yourself again.

What's Included
An intentionally small group of women. Every guest has her own bed; some sleeping spaces are shared.
Slow breakfasts plus family-style lunches and dinners made with fresh, seasonal and locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. Generous, nourishing and meant to be lingered over.
Seasonal cocktails, thoughtfully crafted mocktails, coffee, tea and other beverages woven through the weekend. Beautiful alcohol-free options are always available.
Guided conversation, journaling, reflection and real connection. These gatherings anchor the Free Holler experience.
Woods. Creek. Fresh air. Walking. Fire. Quiet. Rest. Room to do absolutely nothing if that is what you need.
Thoughtfully curated experiences may include bodywork, breathwork, sound, creativity or gentle movement. Practitioners are still being finalized.
Slow evenings around the fire with laughter, connection and conversations that go past the surface.

Meals at Free Holler are part of the gathering. Lunch and dinner are served family-style, with nourishing food passed around the table and enough time to actually stay there awhile. We use fresh, seasonal and locally sourced ingredients whenever possible, from local growers and, when available, from Free Holler's own garden and land. Because some of the best conversations happen when nobody is in a hurry to leave the table.
a glimpse of the weekend
We'll have a rhythm to our days, with gatherings, meals and thoughtfully chosen experiences, and plenty of room between them to rest, wander and breathe. As your retreat approaches, you'll receive a more detailed itinerary.
Friday
Friday is your time to arrive. Put your bag down, settle into your space, grab a cocktail or mocktail and meet the women you'll be sharing the weekend with. There is nothing you need to accomplish tonight. Let the outside world begin to quiet down.

The Founding Season
Our first three intimate gatherings make up the original Founding Season, and the women who join them are our Founding Guests. It is limited, and it will never be offered again after our inaugural fall. You'll be part of helping us shape what Free Holler becomes, and we want being here at the beginning to mean something.
Your Founding Rate. Forever.
Founding Guests attend Unplug & Return for $775. And when you return for a future standard three-night Free Holler retreat, you keep your $775 Founding Rate, even as our regular pricing increases. It's our gift to the women who believed in the Holler at the beginning.
The $775 Founding Rate applies to future standard three-night Free Holler retreats comparable to Unplug & Return. Specialty retreats, extended stays, private retreats, off-site retreats or experiences with substantially different inclusions may be priced separately. Founding Guest status and the Founding Rate are personal to the original guest and are not transferable. All reservations remain subject to availability.

Travel to and from Free Holler Farm is not included. If you're flying in, the closest airports are Lynchburg, VA, about 25 minutes from the farm; Charlottesville, VA, about 45 minutes away; and Richmond, VA, about two hours away. We're happy to help you think through the best option when you reserve.
Every guest will have her own bed, and some sleeping spaces are shared. There is one private room with a queen bed available for sole occupancy, and two friends traveling together may choose to share that queen at a reduced per-person rate. Part of the Free Holler experience is the intimate, home-like nature of gathering here.
Absolutely. You don't need to come with a friend. Many women may arrive not knowing one another, and connection is intentionally woven into the weekend.
After reserving, you'll complete a Founding Guest questionnaire so we can learn about food allergies, dietary needs and preferences before you arrive.
Yes. Cocktails, thoughtfully crafted mocktails and other non-alcoholic choices will be part of the weekend. Alcohol is always optional, and beautiful alcohol-free choices will always be available.
No. Our morning and evening gatherings are an important part of the experience, but rest, solitude and white space are intentionally built into the weekend.
We do not offer refunds. We understand that life happens. If you're unable to attend, the amount you've paid can be held as a credit toward another Free Holler retreat, subject to availability and the applicable retreat terms. For Founding Guests using their credit toward a future qualifying standard three-night retreat, the $775 Founding Rate remains intact.
